Sniper research/project
« on: January 30, 2013, 02:05:18 pm »
Hi all,

have played a fair bit now i can still feel the call of the snipers role... rather than start another "wot sinper am bestest" thread i shall start by stating what i would like to acheive and see how reasonable it is to make that happen. i have got behind vsr, L96 and even an "urban sniper" (psg type thing) and am happy with the feel of them all. im not massively brand loyal so if all the guts need to come out of a TM rifle then why pay loads more...

so here we go:

range: 70 m and over
accuaracy: man size target at 70m and over
consistancy: high probability of a hit (80%) at 70 m
weight: not crucial as im reasonably strong
reliability: its no good reaching 100 m if the guts drop out of the magwell after 10 rounds
noise: the less the better please
It must be able to lift heavier bb's as I want my target to know they've been hit esp at range
I'm happy to go dmr if that ticks all the above boxes
cost: let keep it sensible, below 500 mark maybe. Would consider proffesionally upgraded 2nd hand
play style will be get into a good position, scrimmed up and take out at range on most occasions

thanks in advance

phil
