At the mo I use a 901 with back panel, which is great for indoors.
But I need a new rig for outdoors, because I only have a DPM assaut vest.
Weapon wise I use a M4 Sentry and FN 5-7 (I know, best pistol ever

I didn't really think about the team kill factor.
Of course, you allways get that one idiot that gets in the way.
Though you'd be pissed if a team mate set the mine off and an enemy player appears there a few seconds later

I have been tempted to buy one, but I'll buy one when I have spare cash.
Looking at some vids on YouTube, the spring ones seem to be efective.
The issue I see is you have to lug it about everywhere
